Meteoria: the French tool that tracks what AI assistants say about your brand

Good tool

Every day, Meteoria asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity the questions your customers put to them, which provider to choose, for instance, then measures whether your brand is mentioned, in what position, in what terms, and which sources the AI relies on to answer. Among GEO tools, the software that tracks a brand’s visibility in generative AI engines, it is one of the French challengers, designed for SEO agencies and marketing teams.

What is Meteoria?

You start by entering the prompts to monitor, in other words the questions a customer would type into an assistant: “which payroll software for a small business?”, “best health insurance for a freelancer”… You enter them one by one or import them from a CSV or Excel file, sorting them by product, persona, country or purchase intent. Meteoria then sends them every day to the engines you picked and breaks down each answer. Four metrics come out of it: the visibility rate (the share of answers that mention the brand), the average position when several brands are cited, the share of sources that talk about you and the share of sources that are your own pages. The same calculation applies to competitors, and each answer is given a sentiment: positive, neutral or negative.

Seven engines are available: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, plus Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode. Each subscription, however, only tracks three of them at a time, the others being billed as extras. Around this tracking, the tool connects to Google Analytics or Matomo to count visits coming from AI assistants, exports its data to Data Studio on the higher plans, and suggests next steps: high-authority sources where you should get mentioned, content to make easier for an AI to pick up, analysis of AI crawler visits in the server logs.

The project took shape in the summer of 2025, with its website going live in July, before the company Meteoria was incorporated in October of the same year. This French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) is based in Saint-Mandé, on the edge of Paris, and run by its four co-founders: Idriss Khouader, its president, Ismaïl El Gaouzi, Maxime Hanquier and Samuel Valengin. The team is still small, about ten people according to its about page, and data is hosted in Europe.

What is Meteoria used for?

  • Measure your visibility in AI assistants

every day, the share of ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity answers that mention your brand, prompt by prompt.

  • Benchmark yourself against competitors

visibility rate, average position and sentiment of the answers for each competing brand, on the same questions.

  • Monitor the tone of the answers

each mention of your brand is classified as positive, neutral or negative, to spot a recurring criticism or confusion about your products.

  • Identify the sources cited

the websites, media, forums or pages of your own site that the AI relies on to answer.

  • Count visits coming from AI

the Google Analytics or Matomo connection isolates the traffic sent by each assistant.

  • Adapt your content

from the Pro plan, recommendations to make your pages easier for an AI to understand and cite.

  • Share the results

CSV or JSON exports, customizable dashboards and a Data Studio connection on the Advanced and Enterprise plans.

Meteoria review

Good tool

Meteoria answers a question many brands have been asking since ChatGPT arrived: what are AI assistants saying about us, and who do they recommend instead? The tool tackles it head-on, with a clear dashboard and four metrics that are easy to present to a client or to management. For an SEO agency looking to add GEO to its services, that is an asset: seats, countries and projects are unlimited from the first plan, which makes it possible to track several clients without stacking subscriptions.

These numbers call for a careful reading. Like every tool in this market, Meteoria queries AI assistants with questions you chose, not with what people actually type, which nobody knows in detail. The same question does not get the same answer depending on the day, the wording or the country: a visibility rate should therefore be read as a trend over several weeks, never as an absolute figure. The choice of prompts drives everything else, and that is where the quality of the tracking is decided.

The offer has two concrete limits. Every plan, Enterprise included, only tracks three engines at a time, which forces you to choose between ChatGPT, Gemini, Google’s AI Overviews or Perplexity. And the “optimize” side remains thinner than the measurement side: recommendations and source leads, not a tool that does the work for you. The most advanced features, such as server log analysis or the risk report, are reserved for the €420-a-month plan.

The product is young. Launched in the summer of 2025 and run by a small team, Meteoria is evolving fast and its pages change at the same pace; there is not yet enough hindsight on its long-term reliability. Fortunately, the one-week trial lets you judge for yourself before committing.

Strengths

  • A clear dashboard with metrics that are easy to explain, and an interface also available in French.
  • Unlimited seats, countries, projects and brands from the first plan, ideal for an agency.
  • Sentiment and cited sources analyzed on top of simple presence.
  • Visits coming from AI measured through Google Analytics or Matomo.
  • An affordable entry plan and a one-week trial with every feature.

Weaknesses

  • Only three engines tracked at a time, whatever the plan.
  • No lasting free version.
  • Metrics based on simulated prompts, to be read as trends.
  • Server log analysis, risk report and Data Studio reserved for the higher plans.
  • A very young product, with little hindsight on its long-term reliability.

Is Meteoria worth it?

Yes, if you are an SEO agency or a marketing team that wants to start tracking its presence in AI assistants without a big budget, especially in France: the Starter plan is enough for twenty-five key questions, unlimited access lets you bring in the whole team or several clients, and the French-language interface makes it easy to present results to French-speaking stakeholders. The same logic applies to a brand that wants to monitor the tone of the answers about it and spot the sources that hurt it.

Not necessarily, if you need to cover every engine at once, or if you are looking for a tool that produces the content and actions itself. For a small local business, regularly checking a few questions by hand in ChatGPT and Gemini already gives a first idea, with no subscription, provided you do it outside your usual account (temporary chat or private browsing): otherwise the assistant’s history and memory steer the answers toward the brands you have already mentioned.

There is no shortage of choice in this niche. Qwairy is the other French tool in the segment; Peec AI and Otterly.AI also focus on daily tracking of your own prompts; Ahrefs Brand Radar and Semrush’s AI toolkit are a better fit for those who already pay for these SEO suites. Meteoria stands out mainly for its unlimited access and its reading of tone and sources.

How much does Meteoria cost?

Meteoria is sold by subscription, in euros only, including on its English-language site, with four plans that differ mainly in the number of prompts tracked each day and in the analysis features unlocked. All of them include three engines of your choice and unlimited seats and projects. An annual commitment gives you two months free.
