1. Who we are

Sluak is a digital marketing agency established in the United States. It publishes the website sluak.com and is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Data we collect

When you use the contact form

• Your first name, last name and email address.
• Your phone number and its country code, if you choose to give them.
• The content of your message.
• Your IP address and its approximate origin (country, network operator and Internet registry), attached to the message to protect the form against abuse.

When you browse the site

Like any web server, our server records technical information about each request: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser identification and referring page. These logs are used only for security and troubleshooting.

To pre-select your country code in the form, the server looks up the country of your IP address in a local table built from the public files of the Internet registries. This lookup happens on our server only; nothing is sent to a third party.

What we do not do

The site uses no cookies, no analytics or advertising trackers, and no social media plug-ins.

3. How we use your data

• To answer your request and discuss your project.
• To manage our relationship with you if you become a client.
• To protect the site and the form against abuse, spam and attacks.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

We never sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it to send you marketing messages without your consent.

4. Legal bases (EU, EEA and UK visitors)

• Steps taken at your request before a possible contract, when we answer your message.
• Our legitimate interests in answering your questions and in keeping the site secure.
• Legal obligations, when the law requires us to keep or disclose certain data.

5. How long we keep your data

• Contact form messages: 3 years after our last exchange, then deleted.
• Server logs: 14 days.
• Server backups: 7 days on a rolling basis. They do not contain contact form messages.
• Anti-abuse counters: 24 hours, with IP addresses stored only in an irreversible hashed form.

6. Who receives your data

Your data is handled by Sluak and by the service providers we use to run the site, who act only on our instructions:

• Vultr (United States): hosting of the website server.
• Infomaniak (Switzerland): email service where contact form messages are delivered.
• Regional Internet Registries (ARIN, RIPE NCC, APNIC, LACNIC, AFRINIC): when you send the form, your IP address is looked up in their public directory to determine its origin.

We may also disclose data when required by law or by a competent authority. We do not share your data with advertisers.

7. International transfers

Sluak is established in the United States and our providers are located in the United States and Switzerland. If you are located elsewhere, in particular in the European Union, your data is therefore transferred outside your country. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

8. Security

• The whole site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
• Form messages are sent to our mailbox over an encrypted connection and are not stored on the web server.
• The form is protected against automated and abusive use.
• Access to our systems is limited and protected.

No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its use, and receive it in a portable format.

If you are a resident of California or of another U.S. state with a privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for targeted advertising.

To exercise your rights, write to us at info@sluak.com or through our contact form. We may ask you to confirm your identity and will answer within the time required by the law that applies to you. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children

The site is intended for professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
