Hostinger Website Builder: build a site with AI, hosting and domain included
Worth a look
Describe your business in a few lines, let AI draft a website, then tweak the pages with drag and drop: that is how Hostinger’s website builder works, sold in the same bundle as hosting, a domain name and email accounts. You can put together a business site, a portfolio, a blog or a small online store, and a second, conversational mode goes as far as small web apps. It ranks among the cheapest website builders on the market, up against Wix, Squarespace and GoDaddy.
What is Hostinger Website Builder?
Since August 2026, Hostinger’s Website Builder has gone by a new name: AI Builder. The company merged its drag-and-drop website builder with Horizons, its conversational app builder launched in 2025, and the whole package now comes in two modes included in every plan. Manual mode is the former Website Builder: AI generates a first version from a description, then you move blocks, images and text around in a visual editor, starting from one of its hundreds of templates if you like. It uses no AI credits and covers what a small website needs: pages, a blog, a store with online payments, appointment booking, SEO tools and connections to Google Analytics, the Meta pixel or Hotjar.
AI mode carries on from Horizons: you describe what you want, from a sentence, a website address, an image or a PDF, and the AI writes the code. It handles user accounts, a database and Stripe payments, which opens the door to members-only areas, small CRMs or micro-SaaS products, and the code can be exported. Every request uses credits, from 5 to 10 for a simple page according to Hostinger, more for an app.
Hostinger is a Lithuanian web host, founded in Kaunas in 2004 as Hosting Media and renamed in 2011. Based in Vilnius, the privately held company says it has more than 1,000 employees and customers in over 150 countries; it posted €275.4 million in revenue in 2025, up 51%. Its website builder comes from Zyro, a tool the group launched in 2019 and later folded into the Hostinger brand: Zyro stopped selling in 2024, and its customers were moved to Hostinger Website Builder.

Hostinger Website Builder review
Worth a look
For a tradesperson, a freelancer or a nonprofit that wants to get online without giving up its weekends, Hostinger’s builder delivers on its promise. You describe your business, the AI lays out a decent draft, you swap in your photos and text, and you publish. The editor stays simple, the result looks clean on mobile, and having hosting, domain and email addresses in one place saves a lot of technical back-and-forth. For a business website or a small store, you don’t need more.
The limits show up quickly once you step outside that frame. Manual mode gives you less layout freedom than Wix or Webflow, few integrations and few advanced features; AI mode goes much further, but it runs on credits, handed out once with the plan and then bought again, and the quality of what it produces depends a lot on how precise your requests are.
The price deserves a close read. The $1.99 a month in the headline assumes you pay four years upfront, and the plan then renews at $10.99 a month, more than five times as much. Over time, the gap with the competition narrows sharply, and the domain and email accounts are free for the first year only. One more thing to keep in mind: if the plan isn’t renewed, the site goes offline and its data is deleted.
As for service, support answers around the clock, first through an AI assistant, then through human agents, but the wait can drag on and there is no phone line. It is a very affordable way to get started, as long as you know the real cost and don’t ask it to be what it isn’t: a tool for custom design.
Strengths
- A presentable website in very little time, with no technical skills.
- Hosting, domain and email accounts in a single bundle.
- An introductory price among the lowest on the market.
- An AI mode that goes as far as small web apps, with code export.
- An online store with no transaction fees taken by Hostinger.
- Support available 24/7, all year round.
Weaknesses
- An introductory price tied to a 48-month commitment, three to six times higher at renewal.
- Domain and email accounts free for the first year only.
- Less layout freedom and fewer integrations than Wix or Webflow in manual mode.
- AI credits granted once, to be bought again when they run out.
- Support with no phone line, sometimes slow or overly automated.
- No lasting free plan, and a site that gets deleted if the plan expires.
Is Hostinger Website Builder worth it?
Yes, if you are looking for the cheapest way to get a business website, a portfolio or a small store online, and a multi-year commitment doesn’t bother you. Having the site, hosting, domain and email addresses with a single provider makes life easier, and AI mode lets you test an app idea without a developer.
Not necessarily, if you want a highly polished design, a site that is meant to grow or a store with a real catalog. Wix and Squarespace offer more templates and freedom, Webflow or Framer more precision for designers, Shopify far more depth for commerce. For a site that has to evolve over many years, WordPress, installed on Hostinger’s own hosting, remains more flexible. Either way, compare the total cost over four years, renewal included, rather than the introductory price.
How much does Hostinger Website Builder cost?
The website builder is included in three hosting plans, paid upfront for the full term you choose. The official page only shows the 48-month commitment, with a Black Friday discount when we checked: the price below is that introductory price, in other words the total paid on day one divided by 48. When the term ends, the plan renews automatically for the same length at a much higher renewal price, listed for each plan. Both building modes are included in every plan.
| Plan | Per month | Included | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $1.99 | 3 websites, 2 mailboxes per site and a domain free for 1 year, 250 AI credits, AI assistant support; $95.52 paid for 48 months, renews at $10.99/month | A first business site, portfolio or blog |
| Unlimited | $2.79 | Unlimited websites and mailboxes, e-commerce, email marketing free for 1 year, 500 AI credits, priority support; $133.92 paid for 48 months, renews at $16.99/month | Small businesses, online store, several websites |
| Cloud Startup | $7.99 | Everything in Unlimited on more powerful cloud hosting, 1,000 AI credits; $383.52 paid for 48 months, renews at $25.99/month | High-traffic sites, heavier web apps |
