Duda: the platform agencies use to build and manage client websites
Good tool
Duda is built for people whose job is making websites for others: web agencies and freelancers, but also hosting companies and software vendors that give their customers a website. You build brochure sites, online stores or booking pages in a visual editor, publish them on the hosting provided, then run the whole portfolio from a multi-site dashboard, inviting each client to edit only what you allow. With white labeling, the agency can even present the entire platform under its own name. Far from consumer site builders like Wix or Squarespace, Duda has carved out a niche as the specialist in websites produced at scale for small business clients.
What is Duda?
From an online dashboard that lists the agency’s sites and client accounts, the editor works by drag and drop, from templates or a blank page; you add sections and widgets that can be reused from one site to the next, dynamic pages fed by a content collection, several languages or content personalized for each visitor. AI comes in at several levels: writing and translating copy, generating sections or a full site, creating custom widgets and, more recently, Duda Vibe, which builds sites, small apps or internal tools from a simple description. On the search side, the platform highlights automated SEO features and a paid add-on that tracks visibility in answer engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
What really sets Duda apart is its production tooling. The agency creates as many client accounts as it wants, with role-based permissions, collects text and photos from clients through a content collection form, and can automate everything with a REST API, Zapier or an MCP server for AI assistants. Sites are hosted by Duda, on Amazon Web Services infrastructure, with unlimited storage and bandwidth. The online store, bookings and marketing automation are added site by site, as paid add-ons.
The company was born in 2009 as DudaMobile, a tool that helped small businesses get a mobile-friendly website. Its founders, Itai Sadan and Amir Glatt, then refocused it on professionals who build websites for others. Founded in Israel and headquartered in Palo Alto, California, at the time of its 2021 funding round, it now has offices in Tel Aviv, Louisville (Colorado), Reading in the United Kingdom and Florianópolis in Brazil. In June 2021, it raised $50 million from Claridge IL, bringing its total funding to around $100 million, and a few months later acquired Snipcart, a shopping cart company from Quebec. Duda claims more than 450,000 business customers and more than 14 million sites built on its platform.

Duda review
Good tool
Duda really comes into its own at volume. For an agency that delivers one site a month, the tool doesn’t add much over a good WordPress setup or Wix; for an agency managing fifty, the difference shows immediately. A single dashboard, templates and sections reused from one client to the next, clients who can update their opening hours without being able to break the layout, no plugins to update and no servers to monitor: that is exactly what saves hours as the portfolio grows. The polished white labeling also lets you sell the website as an in-house service.
That efficiency comes with trade-offs. The editor is more structured than Webflow or Framer: it works very well for brochure sites for shops and small businesses, much less for highly crafted layouts, which take time or a detour through code. The online store and bookings do the job for a small business, without rivaling Shopify on a large catalog. And the sites stay hosted at Duda: leaving the platform means, in practice, rebuilding them somewhere else.
Pricing, for its part, adds up site by site. The platform subscription includes only one or four sites depending on the plan; each additional site costs from $14 a month, and the store or bookings come on top of that. The model holds up when those costs are billed back to the client in a monthly package, much less for a freelancer who only manages their own site. Finally, support is uneven: responsive on the higher plans, it can keep you waiting on a technical issue on the entry-level plans.
Strengths
- A multi-site dashboard and client management tools designed for agencies.
- Complete white labeling: editor, dashboard, previews and emails under your name.
- Reusable sections and templates that speed up production at scale.
- No technical maintenance: hosting, security and updates are handled by Duda.
- An API and an MCP server to automate site creation and management.
- A 14-day trial with no credit card, with every feature of the White Label plan.
Weaknesses
- No free plan, and a per-site cost that adds up quickly.
- Online store and bookings billed on top, site by site.
- Less layout freedom than Webflow or Framer for highly creative sites.
- Sites tied to Duda’s hosting: leaving means rebuilding them.
- Technical support that can be slow on entry-level plans.
- Pricing published only in US dollars, with no local-currency pricing for agencies abroad.
Is Duda worth it?
Yes, if you are an agency, an established freelancer or a provider that builds and maintains websites for small businesses, and you want to scale that work: the same layout rolled out from one client to the next, clients who manage their own content, a monthly package that includes hosting. The more sites you manage, the more the tool pays off, and the White Label plan becomes worthwhile as soon as you want to sell the platform as your own.
Not necessarily, if you are only building one site, your own or your company’s: Wix, Squarespace or WordPress.com will cost less for a comparable result. The same goes for a design studio looking for highly creative sites, better served by Webflow or Framer, or for a merchant whose store is the core of the business, who will be more at home on Shopify. Agencies used to WordPress can also stick with their CMS, at the cost of handling maintenance themselves.
The most direct rival is Wix Studio, the version of Wix built for agencies: a multi-site dashboard, client roles and client billing are there too, with a freer editor than Duda’s, but without white labeling as complete.
How much does Duda cost?
Duda has no free plan, but it does offer a 14-day trial with no credit card. The subscription is per account, in dollars, billed monthly or yearly with a 25% discount (paid upfront); it gives access to the platform and includes one or four sites depending on the plan, with additional sites billed separately.
| Plan | Per month | Per month, billed yearly | Included | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $25 | $19 | 1 site, 1 user, email support | Freelancer getting started |
| Team | $39 | $29 | 1 site, 3 team members, collaboration tools | Small team |
| Agency | $69 | $52 | 4 sites, 6 team members, priority support | Growing agency |
